Although the jewellery is really nice, I found the flares at the smaller sizes (10g) to be extremely large. 00g for my lobes wasn't a problem but the 10g, with the flare was impossible to get in.

I don't find these particularly heavy at 00g (although they are heavier than average), but I cannot comment on larger sizes. I found them to be about a perfect weight, not heavy but solid. They are really shiny and being a single solid piece makes them look really high quality. The flares are quite modest, not too hard to get in and keeps them in.

Very heavy, but comfortable. Large flares so they will never would fall out. Nice polish shines people in the eye when the sun is out. The back surface is slightly off true flat, but overall great value.

Exactly what I wanted. They match any of my steel 7/16 plugs that I have. The flare is a little big so they were hard to put in at first, but if your ears is fully healed then it is not a problem.

bought these for my girlfriend, because her ears are so stubborn we thought it may help with stretching and loosening up her ears, and they did! great product, she absolutely loves them.

These are neat. Even at a 0g they're quite heavy. My lobes wobble when I wear them. The wearable area is a tad shorter than I'm used to, but it's not a problem. The flares are easy to work with as well. They're nice and shiny and real classy looking.

The flares are a bit big on each of the sides, which makes them difficult to get in. But once you manage it there very nice. very smooth, polished looking. they have a weight to them which to me feels nice :)

These were a lot heavier than I was expecting. When they say SOLID steel, they mean it. Within thirty minutes of putting them in one fell out. Can't complain about the quality of the plugs, as they look great and are almost perfectly sized, just don't be a moron like me and be conscious of the fact that it's a solid hunk of metal.

These are great! It took some time to find solid steel plugs but here they are! I like that they are simple because at work they frown upon flashy earrings!

These solid steel plugs are really shiny and a little on the heavier side, which I like. Very easy to put in. The simple appearance of the plugs is also an attractive feature.

These are cool-- just what I expected. The flares look huge at a glance, but had no trouble getting them in. I have a few complaints, though. One: The back of one of my plugs has what looks like a welding scorch. It doesn't look terrible and I just turn it around, but it's not what I expected. Two: The wearable on these is tiny. I have thin lobes, and I'm finding that there is no way I can wear them without both sides of my ear being on the flare. When you take them out, your ears will shrink back with other plugs, but it's just something customers should know. I wouldn't recommend them for fatter lobes unless that's what you want.

I had to buy these when I stretched from a 0g to a 00g. They are so streamline and easy to wear; I couldn't live without them. They slide in fairly easily (the flare is a little large) and my only real complaint is their weight, however, you don't notice it after wearing them for a day.

These were my first purchase from BAF; I love the plugs and I would recommend BAF to all of my modified friends.
These plugs are great! They are super smooth and easy to wear, they have become my everyday plugs. I will be buying these in a 00g when I stretch again.

These plugs are great, they have a simplistic look to them and a great weight. The flares are just right so that they go in an out easily enough, but I'm not afraid of them falling out.

These have a great weight to them. They're very shiny and pretty. But the flares are a little bit big. Overall, though, a very nice piece of jewelry for the price.

I loved these plugs! They're heavy enough to feel, but not enough to stretch. The photo looks like they have a satin finish, but actually have a high polished, almost mirrored finish. I would most definitely purchase these again (and again!) as well as recommend them to others. A great buy for the money

I trusted the flares would be large as almost everyone has said--and they are. I got a pair(7/16) for my neice and she couldn't even get one in. I got a pair of 4g for myself and so far got one in. It looks great, perfect for anytime, and the weight is comfortable.

These are very shiny and beautiful! I thought they were going to be dull and plain, but they turned out very well polished. They are also very heavy which I think is a plus.

I've got 2 of these so far, and really like them; the finish is great for the price, and they look good in. It's true about the large flare - got one into a 4g hole with no issues, but at 6g, it's a little too tight, unfortunately. I definitely recommend them for slightly larger, or very flexible spaces. They are rather heavy compared to an eyelet, so might not be suited to extremely large gauges but if you need something less expensive for between stretches these are very good.

I Love these theyre very reflective. But for smaller gauges the flare can be a bit extreme.

Kind of disappointing. BAF was awesome about sending replacements when the first pair I got was mismatched, but unfortunately I still can't wear them -- the flares are ENORMOUS. Close to a 4g for my 8g plugs. They look pretty neat, but at this point they're totally unwearable. I definitely won't be repeating these.

Suuuuuuper heavy, you MUST stretch the right way to be able to put these in. I got them for my boyfriend and he loves them, and since they're heavy they're helping to stretch his ears a lil more.

This gauge looks awesome when it's in but unless you have a huge gauge like 00g than I don't suggest getting a double flare. They are so hard to take out, or even put in for that matter. But this did really look great.

The flair was too big for my newly stretched ears, so I had to wait until my ears were up to a 6g for them to go in. However, they are pretty and shiny. My advice, if you want these, is to order down a size.

Unfortunately, I received a 4G and 6G instead of a pair of 4's, like I ordered. I didn't realize it until I had opened the bag though so I couldn't return them. They are nice and shiny, also a good weight. I'll purchase some more so I have a matching pair.

These were the first pair of double flair plugs I ever purchased. I had some trouble at first getting the relatively large flair in, but was eventually, with the help of some jojoba oil, able to get them in. Great set of plugs for the price, plain, but very nice. The set I received was very shiny and well polished. Very light weight as well.
Posted on 5/19/2009
i bought these for my boyfriend a little while ago...i think that they were nice and shiny but as with most metals, prone to scratches (no biggie imo). the flares were a bit big, but once again not an issue. my man on the other hand was disappointed by the ease at which the plugs accumulated scratches. obviously you should realize that these are HEAVY...very good for loosening lobes, but not for long term wear.

Gauge purchased: 5/8. Fanatstic! I've been looking for a solid steel plug for a while now, and could only find single-flared...which i don't wear, not a big fan of o-rings. These are perfect for me. They have a great wieght to them, and an amazing finish, they really stand out! but...as a few people have written, don't wear them all the time if you don't want to stretch further. If you do, these are a great way to add minute stretches. Thanks BAF!

I love these plugs. They are super heavy and i love that but if you don't want to stretch any bigger make sure you don't wear them too much. The flares in the larger sizes i don't feel are too large at all but they are a little sharp so beware and lubricate and you'll be fine.

Gauge purchased: 6g
I purchased these, basically trying to get a nice base of jewelry for where I thought I would stop gauging. I've never worn them. I got them and they absolutely would not go through my piercings. I checked the gauge at the center of the jewelry several times, it measures 6g. The flares are just too large to make it through. Finally my ears hurt [and that's saying a lot!] and I quit. I gave them away without ever wearing them.

They're flashy for sure but the flare's huge. Hopefully in a few weeks when my ears have loosened up, I can wear these.
Posted on 11/6/2008
Gauge purchased:10g. i was hoping they'd fit so i wouldn't ruin all my other jewelery in the pool, but like others have said, the flares on them are 4g and im not sure how they'll fit. there so smooth and shiney though, i use them later on, but probably not for a 10g piercing, maybe to reduce from a 4g or 2g.

well I bought them for a 10 gauge hole, and the flares are about a 4. So I'm a little worried that even if I do get them in I woudn't be able to get them out after wearing them for a little while.
I really like them a lot, though, so I think I'm probably gonna put some electrical tape in the middle and wear them in my 6 gauge hole.
This plug in this size would probably be perfect for someone who was in a 4 or 6 and wanted to try and go back to something smaller. It would be big enough on the outside to stay in.

Gauge purchased was a 0g. These are by far my absolute favorite "universal" plugs :) they look great with anything, have a rather high luster and have a great weight to them! i def recommend these to anybody who wants a simple and yet very effective design!

Gauge purchased: 7/16th. These look and feel amazing. The have the right amount of weight to them. I was nervous about getting these because I read the reviews on the flares, but they are actually not that bad. I had to problem putting them or taking them out. These look better in person then in the display picture. Must have for +00g
Posted on 7/22/2008
I bought these in 00. They are perfect, most people say they are to heavy but it gives the ears that natural sway and movement when playing guitar or just dancing at a show. They were not to big at all and then edges were not bad at all. These are a must for anyone.

I found the flares on this to be pretty steep, along with the fact that it is very heavy it definitely shouldn't be worn on a new stretch. In fact it was so heavy that it made my ear swing when i moved my head ahaha. I've only worn this for a maximum of one day but I don't think I would recommend it for long term wear. But it does look great and is quite fun to play with, a must have :)

Great, exactly what I was looking for. They are nice and heavy, but not uncomfortable, and quite shiny! The only thing is that the flares are pretty sharp, so DO NOT buy these if your ears are not healed or lacking elasticity.
Posted on 4/20/2008
I bought these in a 10g and they've got the perfect amount of weight. The flares keep them in stable throughout the day, and I prefer to wear them when I know I'm going to be doing something that involves a lot of movement. I'm very satisfied with these.
Posted on 4/20/2008
Gauge purchased: 10g I received these in an 10g and the flares were insane, 6g on a 10 plug. However, I solved this by wrapping some PTFE tape around the middle and wearing them as 8g plugs once I had stretched up. Other than that, they're very shiny and definitely pleasing to the eye. Worth buying, but be careful about the flare.
Posted on 4/9/2008
Just recently got these in 11/16". They're definitely amazing. They've got weight, but not too much. They're really shiny too. I'd recommend them.
Posted on 3/19/2008
Beautiful plugs, got so many compliments. Very heavy!(naturally) Only bad thing is the flares are kinda sharp. Hurt myself on them a few times. Be careful taking them out and in.
Posted on 2/10/2008
This is something I've wanted for a wile. I never thought I would find a pair of 1" solid steel plugs. They look amazing and are realy heavy. Exactly what I wanted.
Posted on 1/18/2008
BAF comment: Double flared jewelry should never be used to stretch with.
I was very upset with these! I wanted to gauge from 00g to 5/8"g and I ordered one of each to end at my goal gauge. I had to re order the 00g because the 0g didnt fit at all. then from there on the sizes are larger then they woul fit in the actual gauge. then comparing each earing to another they are different in size by ALOT and they dont fit in at all. I have 4 single earing that are going to collect dust. this product is horrible.
Posted on 12/21/2007
I just got these yesterday as a gift in 1 inch and they are amazing looking. They are heavy but they don't seem to fall out so I'm satisfied.
Posted on 12/18/2007
I was excited to get these as a gift. They look great and i would love to wear them if only i could get them in my ear. The flare is a LOT bigger than i expected. Im at a 6g and the flare is bigger than a 4g. I usually can get flares in but this is ridiculous . So just a warning, if youre in the smaller gauges, these flares are huge.
Posted on 3/9/2007
I buy stuff from here often. I just received my 5/8" double flares. They are very dissappointing. I had a pair of 1/2" IS and they were amazing. These are too light and flimsy. You can also see the seam right on them. People might not notice from a distance but they seem a little tacky to me.
Posted on 11/30/2006
I'm also at a 6g and after reading Virginia's review ordered these in an 8g... a mistake. I don't know if they've changed the style or size of these recently, but the 8 is way too small even on the flare. They don't stay in at all, which is too bad since they're really great (particularly considering the price!) I will definitely be ordering these in a 6g now so that I can wear them! Just be aware that there may be some sizing issues for people, but a great product regardless.
Posted on 7/26/2006
I am at a 6 ga (forever) and got these in an 8 gauge, assuming the flare would be at at 6 gauge. The flare was MUCH larger...I could barely get them in after a hot shower and lots of Vit E oil. Getting them out was even worse. Be aware that at smaller gauges youu may have to stretch up over gauge to get these in.
Posted on 2/3/2006
i got these in 7/16 and i loved them so much i got them again in 9/16. they have a touch of weight on them. but all in all they are amazing for being so super cheap!

These are great, subtle plugs. They go in very eaisly, but they also come ouy easily as well. Don't try to sleep with them in. They are so inexpensive, I'd order three if you want to always have a pair.

I liked these while I had them. I lost them both after wearing them for a while - and even then it was a hot & sweaty day. My holes were probably a bit streched to wear them - but if you buy these, don't wear them on hot days.
