These are a bit of a struggle at the bend. They are the easiest retainers to change but can cause a little discomfort when navigating the bend into a nostril piercing. I use this for work when I can't have my bcr in.

The leg on this is a little long so it can tickle me a little bit, but once I get it positioned correctly it stays in place. Its a little long so occasionally it sticks out a bit but for the most part is barely noticeable.

I got 2 of these, because I have both sides of my nose pierced. I needed these as retainers for surgery, and also because my nose doesn't seem to like steel. These were just okay. They're a bit too long for my nose, the posts poke out the front of my nostril, and the sharp "L" bend made them a bit painful to insert. But they are nice quality and do the job that I bought them to do.

Was really excited to use these, I've had so many adverse reactions with most metal nose screws, but BUYER BEWARE! If you have thick nostrils, this may NOT work for you. The flares are much smaller than they look, the straight bend was hard to get in, but not impossible. It fit but was pretty tight/flush to my face. I wasn't too worried. woke up in the morning and my nose had basically swallowed the flare, the top of the piercing and I had to take it out. If you have smaller or thinner nostrils then this is definitely the product for you, if not, look somewhere else or maybe stretch to a higher gauge?

I bought the aqua because I wanted it to look like a piece of turquoise. This nose ring was TINY. I definitely ordered the wrong size. I should have ordered a size up. Super cute, but the disc could be a little larger. I ended up waking up one morning with it missing- this happened a lot- but this time I couldn't find it anywhere. I have linoleum floors, so I thought after sweeping I'd find it, but no luck. Maybe go for one of the "bend" style screws. I just ordered the nose bone, so we'll see how that goes. Worth it for $10 I'd say, but definitely go with another style.

Bought two of these for my nostrils. They are handy to have around if I have to take my titanium threadless labrets out, but I really don't wear them much. The bend in them is too irritating to switch them out often. They also make me feel like I have hard boogers up in my nose, while the threadless labrets are unnoticeable.

I am in love with these. I bought the cobalt one a while ago when I only had one nostril pierced. I loved the way it felt, but the color was too dark for my liking. Instead of buying another cobalt to match, I bought two in aqua- one for each nostri-and they're everything I wanted: comfy, flat against my nose, easy to get in but won't fall out and the color is beautiful. New favorite nose piece for sure. So much better than a bone or screw.

I have both of my nostrils pierced and while this fit my left nostril perfectly it did not do so for my right nostril it's a little thicker than my left so it wasn't a comfortable fit and it tried to sink into my skin it's not really the jewelries fault but if you have thick nostrils this may not be the jewelry for you.

I guess I ordered the wrong size in these. I wear a 16g in everything else, but the first part of the bend was a bit wonky and too thick to fit in my nose. I just wear them in my ears now. Pretty comfy still.

This is a really nice piece. I definitely love the L-bend. I ordered the cobalt blue because the nose stud gems I've ordered from BAF are never dark enough for my taste. Ironically, I actually wish I would have gotten a lighter color. Because it sits so flush with my nose, I feel like the darker color looks a little strange (mainly because it doesn't look very blue when I'm wearing it). Probably ordering a lighter one in the future, but this is a nice piece and I don't regret buying it.

I bought the straight bend because my piercing is up higher in my nose, so the flesh is thicker and ultimately I can't wear the normal screw ins.
It fits wonderfully, went in no problem and the post isn't so long that it irritates my nose.
The head is much smaller then I anticipated, but I already received many compliments on it because it's so subtle and could easily pass off as a freckle to the unknowing eye. :]

I ordered these for my snakebites for work. I couldn't find a labret stud that looked like it would be "invisible" enough, but these are it! The L hook just rests against my lip and is very comfortable. They never get in the way of my teeth. The only thing (and I was expecting it) is that it's hard sometimes to get them in cos of the sharp bend, but you can do it.

I love, love, LOVE these! I just recieved my white one and it's amazing! It's a beautiful milky white and the disc gives a pearl like impression (I bought it to wear with pearl accented jewelry etc.). The disc sits flat on my nose, very smooth. I prefer the L shape as they are easier to get in my nose (especially when the pericing has shrunk or is cranky) so I'm glad they offer that option. I definately will be buying more colors in the future!

I love these nosewcrews, but they're so delicate! I broke my first one and had to replace it. Whenever I wear this one, I'm so incredibly nervous I'm going to snap it. Nonetheless, if I ever break it I'd probably replace it every time.

I bought two of these for my nostrils, and they're so comfortable! The wearable is perfect. The 'leg' is rather short, so they can turn around and point out of my nose if I'm not careful after blowing my nose. Overall I'm very happy with these.

Bought to use as a retainer. The flat flare sits flush with my nose and makes the piercing *almost* invisible. From a few feet away my mother thought I retired my piercing. Also, the straight bend is a bit more forgiving than the glass nose screws, so get these if you had trouble with the tiny bend.

I ordered this product in an 18g even though I know my piercing is a 20g because I have been able to use larger gauge nosescrews, but with this product I wasn't able to get it in with a lot of pain and bleeding. I'm sad because the colour of this nose screw is gorgeous, but I guess I can't use it unless there's a 20g made available.

Like a previous reviewer, I was disappointed at how pale the violet is. It's more like the suggestion of a colour, rather than the stronger solids like turquoise or sky blue. But the subtlety of this colour has grown on me so much that I've just ordered a replacement for the one I lost. The quality and comfort of these nosescrews are both excellent. I only wish they came in even more colours.

The size of this nose ring is slightly larger than 18g so it took some work (and a little slippery lube) to get it worked in...this was a little painful and caused some irritation to my piercing BUT once it was in, the jewelry was very very very comfortable! It is completely non-irritating so if you've got sensitivities to metal this may be just what you need! Once you get it in - you don't feel it at all (it's like air!). I don't mind the straight bend and find that shape much easier to get in than a screw. It did hurt going in but I blame that on the thicker gauge than the actual shape. The clear color works well for concealing a piercing but it doesn't completely hide it - it's shiny so it catches light and you will see a big black dot (your hole) under the disk.

I bought these as Initial jewelry to have my nostrils re-pierced with. I work in the Medical field, So i need something inconspicuous. These did the trick. The front flares are a little larger than they GWS retainers, but they are still pretty unnoticeable. Definitely worth the $10 each!

By far my favorite nose jewelry ever. It was a tad annoying to get in, but once it's in there it's not going anywhere. You can't feel it at all either. I'm constantly checking to make sure it's still there because I was always losing my other nosescrews. It's the perfect length, too. No annoying tickles or pokes. I wish I had discovered these straight bends a looooong time ago.

Gauge purchased: 18g. I purchased a pair of these in clear and a pair in white, and I'm very happy with both of them. I was pierced with the clear pair (adhering to my office's dress code), but found that the dark little dots they left were pretty noticable. Shortly after, I changed them out to the white pair which is much more subtle. Both pairs have a straight bend, and it is pretty sudden, but, they are very secure, and I don't have to worry about them falling out in my sleep or losing them somewhere else. They're also really comfortable.

I have this in an 18g straight bend and its fabulous! i put it in a couple days after i pierced my nose and it was a little tough to get in the bend is very.. immediate. but its nice, stays put it, doesn't irritate my nose like cheap metal and my boss doesn't notice it, thankkkkkz!

Gauge purchased: 18 g amber purple Sizes 18 & 16 are so small a gauge that it's hard to tell if there is even a difference. I would even venture to say that if BAF is out of an 18 in a certain color then get a 16. The head of the nostril screw is so tiny that a 16 would be more visible. I don't know why girls want the tiniest nostril screw ever so it looks like a freckle instead of an adornment. Make Mom angry, not confused. Furthermore, be aware that a straight bend comes out easier and therefore can be lost easier too. Also the left bend is for the left nostril and the right bend is for the right nostril. Otherwise you won't be able to get it in. This an excellent product because most shops don't carry a straight bend or glass for that matter. Thanks BAF!

I purchased 2 of these nosescrews in black and received them in gorgeous condition. Unfortunately, they are ABSOLUTELY 16g and not 18g. I understand that often the gauge on glass jewelry can be slightly off, but i cannot use these in my 18g nose piercings without stretching them to 16g. I'm really disappointed because they're so pretty....

I bought these to use in my ears as plugs while I sleep/shower/etc. I love the fact that they're glass and have a bend which keeps them in my ear without having to worry about flares or o-rings. I'm not such a huge fan of the color -- I've seen amber purple before and loved it, but these nose screws are amber on the outside with an inner "core" of purple which makes it look like the hole in my ear is larger than it is. Not such a big deal since I'm using them at night, but I'm kinda glad I didn't plan on wearing these out. I will be buying these in 12g when I stretch, just in a different color.

I bought these to use in my ear lobes because I have severe allergy problems. My ears finally healed right up, after 3 years of allergies. They're really really small in an ear, but they're still really cute. I love these because there is no backing required and they stay in perfectly. I bought the sky blue color and it's very nice and subtle.

Gauge purchased: 18g Sky Blue I just got these in yesterday and they are great! I've had trouble finding short enough screws for my high nostrils so I don't look like I have a Frankenstein nose,and these fit perfectly! They lay flush with my nose, and the color is a great pastel kind of blue, even in its small size. They are slightly larger than 18g, but with glass thats to be expected. Also, straight bend makes it so much easier to get in, I have had horrrrible experiences with curved screws! I can't wait til BAF restocks so I can get more colors! :D

Gauge purchased: 18g cobalt. I really like this nosescrew, especially because it's a straight bend. I do think it's a tiny bit bigger than 18g, but not by much. The color is beautiful, although once it's in it pretty much looks black unless the right light hits it...but it still looks nice. I will definitely be ordering more of these:)

I was so disappointed in these!
Beware (!): these are only 5mm wearable + violet is hardly more than clear as pictured
I admit that it was my mistake in purchasing these without reading the fine print and judging the photo. I was extremely excited about glass screws in color since I LOVE the Glass Wear Studios retainer.
However, these (18g-14g) are tiny! They are only 5mm wearable. I have a small to average nose, and I need at least 6.5mm wearable for my healed piercing. I have a 8mm retainer from GWS in that is amazingly comfortable with a little scoot room. 5mm was nearly sinking in!
Also, I was excited by the "violet", but I didn't realize that it's very true to life in the photo. Violet is clear with a hardly noticeable purple tint. : /
