I ordered this item as a gift for my friend who was apprenticing at a piercing salon. When I received the book I flipped through and read some of the information. Most of it seemed accurate and informative to the beginner. There is also a lot of anatomical elaboration that will help those wanting a more in depth look at what is happening to their body when they pierce it. My friend told me that she couldn't put the book down. Great gift idea!

For some reason, I didn't expect the book to be this big...it's about as big as a VHS tape, and about an inch thick. I haven't read it yet, but I can't wait to! From what I can see from thumbing through it, it has a LOT of valuable information. Thanks for carrying this, BAF!

BEST BOOK EVER! I wish I had this before I got my first piercing. It covers literally everything. My eyes have been opened to so many things I have done wrong in the past. The best item on this site.

As an aspiring piercer I have learned many useful things in here. When I went and asked the man who I want to train me what I should do to prepare myself, one of the things that he mentioned was this book. I was pumped and told him, "Yeah, I already have it!". Even if you aren't looking to become a body piercer, this book is still quite an interesting read as well as informational how-to guide for certain things. If you're debating this, go on and order it, it's excellent!

this book has a lot of information on just about every piercing imaginable. it has detailed information about the procedure, aftercare, and what to expect as far as pain, and the chances of the hole healing up if you want to retire the peircing. this book is awesome. the end

A MUST read if you ever plan to get a piercing of any kind (or if you already have some!) This book is well written and filled with useful information. I love it@ Elayne Angel is my hero. :)

i really enjoyed this book. It is very hard to find decent reading material on body piercing. i wish there were more books like this based around piercings, as well as other body mods and rituals such as tattooing and branding. My only complaint is that she included "slang" terminology such as "gauging" and "snake bites" which drives me kinda nuts. I wish it was a tad bit more factual and professional.

I love this book. The small questions I was curious about that I couldn't find on the messageboards were answered in here; it's very detailed and informative. I was fortunate enough to be pierced by Elayne's former partner, and it was the best piercing experience I've ever had.

I bought this book mainly because I love anything to do with piercings and I thought it would be fun to read. Well, not only is it a fun read but it's has tons more information then I thought it would. All in all if you love reading about piercings/stretching then get this book.

I finally finished reading this and I found it to be wonderfully informative and very well presented. Her writing style is down-to-earth yet professional, and I recommend it to anyone considering getting pierced. I wish I could give a copy of it to everyone considering getting pierced by a teenager in the mall!

At first I didnt know what to expect once I bought this book but once I went through and read it...wow! I gotta say this is definately a must buy. Everything is covered from healing time to aftercare. Almost every piercing immaginable is covered too! Overall, awesome buy.

i love this book! it's very informative and i knew what to expect when it came time to get my septum done. in the book the author mentions having a list of trustworthy piercers. i was happy knowing the guy i was considering to do the piercing was among that list. :D

This book is great. It's very informative and a good read. I also like the info about the history of piercings and the info it provides about stretching and other things. Very nice read.

This book is wonderful! VERY informative about many aspects of body piercing, including why people are pierced, cultural views about them and all about specific body piercings-- how they are done, where, etc. This is a must have for people who love piercings such as myself ;) Thanks, BAF!

This is a must have book for anyone interested in body piercing, it is probably the best and most comprehensive book you could buy on the subject right now. The book covers a wide range of subjects and includes diagrams. I would have preferred the book to include colour photographs and for me it spent too much time on the basics (but this would be a positive for people new to the subject).
