These fit well and are comfortable, but I'm not sure how well they hide lip piercings. They mostly make it look like I have a hole in my lip, or some sort of black dot. Well-made jewelry for the price.

Somewhat difficult to insert, and they have a tendency to fall out easily. I lost both of mine this way, and I've never before lost any body jewellery. They're good quality and smooth otherwise, though!

My piercer had a hell of a time helping me get this in my philtrum, ultimately resorting to a taper due to the short interior tail-- then it popped out while I was eating a celebratory falafel, never to be seen again. This may be due to the fact that I have huge lips, though.

So, I was a bit skeptical on how this would stay in my lip with it's weird design, but it's like magic. I've never had glass or quartz in my lip, and it feels AMAZING. You do have to be careful when eating to make sure not to bite it. But this is great for job interviews.

I actually really liked this, until I lost it. It made my piercing invisible and was comfortable. I probably wouldst have lost it if I stopped playing with it so much. I ordered another one, but they didn't have the 1/4 inch anymore. :(

I tend to have bad luck with this retainer, usually it falling out when I'm talking or grinning menacingly. However, I got this so I wouldn't end up chewing on glass when eating something. Unfortunately for me, that every thing happened; when I was having lunch, it managed to go through my piercing and I ate it.
It wasn't very tasty.
I guess I wouldn't recommend this for a labret (which is what I have), but if you need something discreet and can deal with the hook, it is a better option. Hopefully someone will have better luck with this retainer than I did.

I got this to try it out for my philtrum. I absolutely hate it. It does not stay in place, and the only way to get it to stay in place is to have the tail awkwardly hanging down. There also seems to be no secure way to keep it from falling out. Worst retainer I've ever tried. I even tried it in my labret...the only way it stayed in place in my labret was with the tail sticking straight UP!

Perfect for work where body mods aren't allowed, keeping my lip piercings under the radar. Of course they don't make the piercing magically disappear, but it does make it considerably less noticeable.

This is a nice quality product, very smooth, and pretty. I bought this as a retainer for my labret piercing. I was excited to use this and put it in right after I got it, but it doesn't seem to want to stay in my lip! I always buy 5/16" labret posts for my lip and they work just fine. As soon as I put this retainer in, it seems to want to fall right out. Maybe I have to put a small O-ring in the inside to keep it from falling out.

I got the size I normally wear in my labret, and it wants to slide out constantly. Other than that, it's a great way to hide your piercing. I plan to wear this piece in my septum in the future.

As always, my go-to place for retainers is BAF. Can't beat these glass ones for my lip piercing, but make sure to be careful while eating. It can come out without you noticing and get mixed in with the food in your mouth.

Originally intended this for my tragus, but the bend wouldn't accommodate the cartilage properly. It ended up working well for my 'triangle' lobe piercing - nice and discreet - just looks like a hole, and even then, from certain angles it just looks flush.

I loved this retainer! It was comfortable to wear for long periods, and hid my lip piercing incredibly well; you could still see a small mark (like a dimple), but it looks like an empty piercing instead of an obvious gray blob like most other retainers. I do recommend that you buy more than one, because once you drop it, you won't find it! My cockatiel pulled mine out and lost it before I could stop him lol! Great retainer, wish it was still available in 1/4; I'd buy more than one this time around.

This piece seems to work fairly well. Piercing doesn't disappear (looks like a little black hole) but is much less noticeable than a shiny metal ball or ring. If you're a male with some dark facial hair around your piercing you probably wouldn't even see anything. Only had it in a few minutes but stayed in. Overall not a bad purchase.

I cannot figure out how to get this thing in without really hurting my piercing. I'm pretty sure I got one that was way too short (should have gotten 5/16", my bad) but the top flare is bent at a very dramatic angle... I'm not sure if its supposed to be that way. Not too satisfied with it at all, but at least I didn't spend too much on it.

This was most definitely my favorite retainer out of all the ones I've bought! I tried all of them for my lip ring. (The one with the push-pin type end, the one with the clear o-rings) and this one is MOST DEFNITELY my favorite by far! I had to wear it for work and my boss didn't even realize I had anything there at all (it's barely noticeable..mind you, it's a little noticeable, but like I said, BARELY if you get the right size that is a snug fit). And it's the only one I can still use, unlike the acrylic ones that uses o rings (which I swallowed after the o-ring fell off and I ate a slice of pizza) or the other little plastic one. I love it! Best of them all for sure!

Beautiful piece. NO ONE at work could tell I had this in, other than one co-worker who just asked why she could see the hole so much, and even when I told her I had a retainer, she still had trouble seeing it. Very pleased with this!

Overall I am very happy with this product, the price is good for the quality, the only thing I've found after the first time wearing them at work, they aren't as secure as I had hoped, they almost fell out a few times. However, I do tend to play with my lip rings so out of habit I probably play with the retainers as well, whether I notice it or not.

Doesn't hide piercing well at all, can see right through glass so it looks like a shiny black hole, very noticeable
