Ask to see their autoclave's spore test. This will show you that their autoclave is up to standards and working correctly. If they don't have an up to date test... leave.
Ask if they use only internally threaded jewelry. Internally threaded is the best jewelry.
Is the shop clean? Are the piercers welcoming, know what they are talking about, and help you find answers?
