Internally threaded is top of the line body jewelry, but it is also more expensive. We recommend buying internally threaded jewelry. It's better for your piercing and is only made out of certified top quality materials. Professional externally threaded jewelry comes lathed down on the end which helps to reduce tearing when jewelry is inserted.

I bought these for my nipple piercings. The length was perfect for my healing process, but I ended up sizing down to 14g 5/8 length to help my healing. They are pretty decent barbells.

The barbell is a bit lengthy for my tongue, but I'm in love! It was a breeze to put in, and the balls are easily switched out for others sold separately. For an internally-threaded barbell, it doesn't appear any thicker than one that is externally-threaded. It's all-around brilliant!

Wear this in my lip at all times. JUST a teeny weeny bit longer than expected, but still perfect. The threading fits my Industrial Strength and Anatometal ends, too.
