Which is better?
Internally threaded is top of the line body jewelry, but it is also more expensive. We recommend buying internally threaded jewelry. It's better for your piercing and is only made out of certified top quality materials. Professional externally threaded jewelry comes lathed down on the end which helps to reduce tearing when jewelry is inserted.

I'm afraid I'm in the same boat as a reviewer before me. These looked awesome in the picture but were entirely lost on my ears. I was looking forward to being in love with them but unlike the heavier gages, they look weak and terrible.

I squealed when I opened the box and these babies smiled up at me! I knew it was a tricky design and might not work with my ears but once I figured out which one went with which ear (there is a distinct right and left), they popped in like a dream and look absolutely gorgeous. My husband said "Whoa, those are AWESOME!" when he saw them and I have to agree. It looks like I have a little squid tentacle hugging my ear, which is exactly what I pictured when I gleefully put these in my cart. Super comfortable to wear too!

I wanted to really like these, and there's nothing wrong with them, but unfortunately my ear shape doesn't work with this design. It was a heartbreaking day when I realized I had to sell them.

These took some figuring out to get them in right, but now I love them. They are true to size and perfectly matched. The squid ink color is a deep opaque blue-black. The only thing I slightly dislike about these is that the top runs into my second set of piercings, so I have to be more careful about what I chose to wear with these.

These are even better in person. I just thought 'squid ink' was black, but it's a deep translucent purpley-blue. =D I love the way these sit on my ears and have had a lot of compliments on them. I have no fear of them falling out of my ears either. <3
