Flares are 1/16" (about one gauge) larger with overall length varying from 1/2" to 9/16". No two plugs are exactly the same.

Howlite if a very light weight plug and the pair i have is very pretty with the black crack like lines that run through them. however, i dropped them once and thought they would break but didn't! i like the fit they have for being 00 because i'm more for plugs that are bigger for their size than smaller because i'm kind of between sizes and with stone plugs varying so much they are ideal.

These are really cool. I think it'd look a lot better at a bigger size. My pair were mostly white.

Gauge purchased: 1". I purchased these in my goal size since I prefer the shape, over that of the newer stock...I wish I hadn't, because I'd love to be able to wear them now. Not too many "veins", not too few, a perfect example of howlite, in my opinion, and they were matched extremely well.

These plugs are perfect for a newbie at stretching. They were easy to get in and had just enough flare to stay firmly in place.

Gauge purchased: 7/16". The flares are huge and even with stretchy earlobes there was difficulty putting them in. One of my plugs was almost pure white except one little thin gray vein (the other side was all white) and the other plug had the veins all over (both sides). Mildly disappointing but they are still charming.
