Internally threaded is top of the line body jewelry, but it is also more expensive. We recommend buying internally threaded jewelry. It's better for your piercing and is only made out of certified top quality materials. Professional externally threaded jewelry comes lathed down on the end which helps to reduce tearing when jewelry is inserted.

when i read the product information it said that it was externally threaded, which confused me because i didn't think anatometal made externally threaded jewelry. it is actually internally threaded. that being said this piece was everything i expected it to be, the polish is mirror smooth and the cabachon is a not too dark with great variation.
