These are *economical* segment rings (thus the low prices). The polish looks great on the outside on all sizes. For 10g and larger when you open them, there may be dust leftover from the machining process & polishing on the ends. You can just wash it off with warm soap and water. The inside ends of the ring and segment are not polished.

We recommend using ring openers on all larger gauge rings. You MUST use ring openers on gauges 8g and larger. There is just no way to get the larger gauges open open with your bare hands. This is typical for any large gauge jewelry. 2g requires ring openers and VERY strong hands!
