When opening this piece for insertion it is best to twist the two ends away from each other, rather than opening the ring as one would do with a standard captive bead ring. The second method will distort the shape of the ring.

Maybe it's because I got this in a tiny size, but I found it hard to close the ring tightly and keep its round shape. Just OK.

i had a lot of trouble with this.i opened the ring to put it in my cartilage and couldn't ever get it closed all the way.

I Love this. I tried a seamless ring in 14g and ruined it the first time I opened it, but it works great in smaller sizes. It's also a nice, subtle look for my septum when I want to be more low-key.
