Which is better?
Internally threaded is top of the line body jewelry, but it is also more expensive. We recommend buying internally threaded jewelry. It's better for your piercing and is only made out of certified top quality materials. Professional externally threaded jewelry comes lathed down on the end which helps to reduce tearing when jewelry is inserted.

Wearable area is 13.8mm (right between 1/2" and 9/16"), barbell is NOT included. Width is 1-3/8", length 2 1/16".

These should not be for permanent wear (as with any nipple shield). The shield itself is made from plastic and coated with a silver finish. Not #1 quality, BUT with it not being made from sterling silver, you don't have to worry about it tarnishing.

Gauge purchased: 14g This item is bigger than i thought but is still as awesome, although it's slightly too large for the bar that i have, but i do have another one. It looks good though.
