These are VERSION 1 of the original design. They have a shiny surface with a flat back flare and round front flare. These are more expensive than version 2 original, so these are half off.
These are eyelets that have minor defects such as a blob of different color in them, edges that need to be cleaned/scraped, or maybe the flares might have small cracks. These are the original eyelets (not the long ones) and they are up to 50% off the regular price.

I actually have these in 1/2 inch but that wasn't listed. I love these and can't see any blemishes in them. They don't fold on themselves like the earskins so at times I prefer them.

1-1/2" white pearl
No visible blemishes I could spot. The sheen on these is mesmerizing and a soft white unlike the very bright, plain white. Good value.

The pair I got looked perfectly fine and I couldn't really find anything wrong with them. These are a good deal and I'm guessing most of the defects are barely noticeable.
