I am almost always smitten with anything from Oracle, especially in larger sizes. These 1 1/2" bloodstone plugs however are definitely not my favorite. They are completely green, no color variation at all. Unfortunately they were opened before I had an opportunity to look at them. Fortunately, they are a really pretty green that is very complimentary to my skin tone.

The plugs I received don't look at all like any photo of Bloodstone I have ever seen. They are almost completely tan colored with greenish-grey and orange stripes and spots. I was expecting something more like green/black with red "blood splatter"... That being said, the plugs are still very nice and have an awesome polish. I kept them anyway.

These plugs are GORGEOUS in person. I was nervous because they look black, but then they came and they're the prettiest green with dashes of whites and reds and yellows. I was really bummed I bought them as a gift for my mentor haha

THE BEST plugs i own. i can never take them out. surprisingly light enough to wear daily! i love you oracle!

the photos here do NOT do these plugs justice. if i didn't know how gorgeous bloodstone was in person i would not have purchased these based on the photos here. my pair exhibits some interesting colour patterns. i'm particularly fond of the reds as they remind me of violent blood splatter patterns. the actual colour of the plugs themselves are kind of a deep blue/green hue and have lighter patches all over. there are also hints of pink, orange, and yellow throughout. the concave design makes these much lighter than i would expect for such large stone pieces, but i'd consider these short term wear pieces (i usually wear jewellery out during the day and take it out when i come home regardless of weight anyways). the wearable is perfect for me and although i can manage the flares they are definitely on the larger side, measuring out to a large 54mm. my labradorite pair by oracle was the same, so keep that in mind when looking at these pieces. the wearable and faces were quite smooth, but one of the plug faces has what appears to be the edge of a druzy pocket on it. i don't mind much though because that side doesn't have much colour anyways. all in all i am incredibly happy with this purchase, and i think the price is amazing for the material and quality.
