Smooth and easy to use. The bump up is quite noticeable, but, using proper lubrication, it cut down the discomfort very quickly. I always get these as I go up in sizes.

I was hoping for a smoother taper but it does have a substantial bump up in size suddenly that my ears did not agree with.
