A must-have for CBRs, but be careful; it's easy to open yr jewelry too far with these and putting them back is a pain if you don't have a closer handy.

these pliers are terrific for people like me that love Captive rings. The rubber tip makes it super easy to grip the balls. This is definitely easier than fiddling with the ball between my index finger and thumb. thanks BAF

Handy little pliers, but for the ring I bought them for, well they wouldn't want to be any bigger! They have come in great handy for many other things however, and I have no regrets buying them.

These ring-openers kick ass.
The rubber tips keep from scratching coated CBRs/segment rings/etc.
By far one of my best investments.

I like the rubber tips on these opening pliers because it prevents scratches/dents on your jewellery as well as provides grip which makes things significantly less tricky. Definitely a must have.
