16g starts at 1/4" (1/16" increments).
14g starts at 1/4" (1/16" increments).
12g starts at 5/16" (1/16" increments).
10g starts at 3/8" (1/16" increments).
8g starts at 3/8" (1/16" increments).

Some stones in 2mm will look clear or very faint. Examples are: lavender, champagne, amber yellow, aquamarine, blue zircon, and tanzanite.
Cabachon opals that are available in 8mm and up are Dark Blue, Light Blue, Light Pink, Dark Pink, Light green, White opal, Black opal, Purple, and Pink opal.
Genuine cabachon stones are available up to 8mm. Hematite, Black Onyx and Tiger eye are the only genuine stones available in 8mm.
