Which is better?
Internally threaded is top of the line body jewelry, but it is also more expensive. We recommend buying internally threaded jewelry. It's better for your piercing and is only made out of certified top quality materials. Professional externally threaded jewelry comes lathed down on the end which helps to reduce tearing when jewelry is inserted.

This item is hand carved from organic material and the gauge will vary +/- up to 0.5mm.

Small weights weigh approximately 12 grams a piece and have a 1-7/8" diameter. The wearable surface measures approximately 10.3mm across and 8mm high--you must be at least 00g to insert them.

Medium weights weigh approximately 22.5 grams a piece with a 2-1/4" diameter. The wearable surface measures approximately 16.6mm across and 7.3mm high--you must be at least 1/2" to insert them.

Large weights weigh approximately 34 grams a piece with a 2-3/4" diameter. The wearable surface measures approximately 17.5mm across and 9mm high--you must be at least 5/8" to insert them.

These are very pretty, though more understated in person than I had expected. The wearable is quite sharp on the sides- in cross-section, shaped like a horizontal diamond- to the point of being a little bit uncomfortable for me (but I bought them to size- certainly a factor). To remedy this, I sanded down the sharp edges in the wearable area, which took all of five minutes. They are somewhat light for weights. All in all, beautiful but needed some tweaking.

not as amazing as I thought they would be. Up close the finish and shape are a little rougher than anticipated. The wearing shape is awkward for me and they are super light, not what I think of as a weight. It is a beautiful wood, but there are too many factors for me to consider buying them again or similar styles. Possibly when My ears are larger, I bought them as my current size.

This jewelry is stunning. The grain is amazing, and the shape is well carved and interesting. The only problem is that the edges of the carving are quite sharp. I find it uncomfortable to wear for any length of time on my naked lobe. I will eventually be able to wear them through earskins when I stretch large enough, but until then they are beautiful decorations.

I love the pattern of the burl wood and am glad I bought these. The wood is very smooth, and although the shape is odd it doesn't hurt my ears. They have a nice, but not too heavy, weight to them. If you're thinking about buying these, take the leap it'll be worth it :)

Ridiculously comfortable, love the weight and feel of these weights. I've been waiting for ages to get these and having them now is a dream come true! I'd recommend these to anyone interested in super comfortable weights.
