These are being discontinued because the quality is not very good :( The acrylic is easily breakable if you "over thread" the end. And if dropped, they can break easily. Please be very careful with these!
One end is threaded for easy insertion/removal.

A little bit tight in the middle of the flares, but that pretty much depends on your earlobes. Other than that, its really great. Not too noticeable at all if you want to still have plugs/tunnels in but not have them as center of attention.

I use these white tunnel plugs everyday! However after a while of using them everyday the back screw broke but I still use them.
