Product information Sizing help
  • Product # 25353
  • Material(s): 316L Stainless Steel

The bead on these is actually ATTACHED to the captive and does not come off. In order to get the ring open you need to bend it back/forth like a seamless ring.

Each fixed bead captive has a 2mm micro bead.

Other fixed bead rings can be found here.

In our drop-down menus for adding to cart, we show the gauge of the item you are ordering, then the length/diameter, then the ball size if it has any:

Jewelry is measured through a gauge system (see chart below). The higher the gauge number the smaller the wire is. A standard "earring" is usually 20 gauge. Jewelry gauges/sizes can vary between manufacturers. There is no universal regulation on companies to make a standard size in body jewelry. A big part of this is that some jewelry is made overseas and measured in millimeters. And in the USA jewelry is measured in inches/gauges. So many times jewelry can be anywhere from .5mm to 1mm different.

Measuring septum jewelry
Septum jewelry is measured by the diameter straight across the center of a ring. How far it sits below your nose will be dependant on where you're pierced. We've given an example below of a septum that's pierced a bit lower (see the side shot) and how it will look with different diameters. The general rule is, the smaller the diameter the tighter the fit.

5/16" (~8mm) diameter 3/8" (~10mm) diameter 1/2" (~12mm diameter)
